Why do we recommend that MycoZap™ Reagent 1 treatment must be conducted in media containing a maximum of 5% (v/v) serum? What happens if by mistake a higher serum percentage was used?

A:

As serum is complexing the MycoZap™ Reagent 1 you would decrease the effective concentration and thus inhibit the elimination reaction. If by mistake the elimination was started with higher serum concentration, no elimination took place. The process can be re-initiated with lower serum concentration then.
