Q:

Is the classical Lucetta® Luminometer compatible with MycoAlert® PLUS Assay?

A:

Yes. You can use the MycoAlert® mode of the classical Lucetta® Luminometer AAL-1001 for running MycoAlert® PLUS Assay. However, as the MycoAlert® mode was programmed based on standard MycoAlert® Assay and has not be adapted to MycoAlert® PLUS Assay yet, the automatic result interpretation won’t reflect the correct value for ratios between 0.9 and 1.0. Ratios < 1.0 are considered being CLEAN when using MycoAlert® PLUS Assay, while the Lucetta® Luminometer will indicate BORDERLINE for ratios < 0.9.

The new Lucetta®2 Luminometer AAL-1002 has two different programs, one for the MycoAlert®Assay and one for the MycoAlert® PLUS Assay. So you can select the correct program for the assay you would like to run, as the interpretation of the results is slightly different.
