With limited exceptions, Lonza does not test the diseased cells as part of our standard Quality Control testing in a manner which would validate the disease diagnosis.

All of Lonza’s diseased airway cells are cultured using the same medium and protocol as their non-diseased counterpart cell. Lonza provides no guarantee that diseased cells will retain their diseased phenotype throughout culturing, only that the cells were originally isolated from a donor diagnosed with the stated disease.
