Q:

How do I promote keratinocyte terminal differentiation towards corneocytes?

A:

Keratinocyte differentiation can be induced by increasing the concentration of calcium and/or by adding serum to the media. Cells should be initially plated using the standard culture media and conditions and allowed ample time to recover from cryopreservation prior to inducing differentiation. Please consult scholarly references for further suggestions on differentiating keratinocytes.
