Yes, but it depends on the platform. We would strongly recommend using the 4D-Nucleofector® or 96-well Shuttle™ System. The successful use of the 96-well Shuttle® System for transfection of P. falciparum has been published by Caro F, Miller MG, DeRisi JL (2012). Malar J 18(11):22. The protocol described in this publication can be transferred without further optimization to our 4D-Nucleofector® System as transfection conditions are transferable between all our conductive polymer electrode-based systems.
In addition to this publication, we have further recommendations based on various demos. As for the Malaria parasites different strains are available, it might be recommended to follow these recommendations which include more programs to try and thus may increase the chance for getting optimal results.
