Q:

Why is the morphology of Lonza’s lung microvascular endothelial cells (HMVEC-L) CC-2527 different from most other endothelial cells?

A:

While most endothelial cells will have a “paving stone” type morphology, Lonza’s lung microvascular endothelial cells (HMVEC-L) will generally appear more stretched and elongated, especially at low confluence. This is a normal morphological characteristic of lung microvascular cells.
