Q:

Is it necessary to co-culture Lonza’s normal human intestinal epithelial cells (InEpC) with Lonza’s human intestinal myofibroblasts (InMyoFib)?

A:

Lonza’s normal human intestinal epithelial cells (InEpC) form tight monolayer with high transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER, up to 10,000 ohms per well) when co-cultured with Lonza’s human intestinal myofibroblasts (InMyoFib). It is only necessary to co-culture these cells when studying tight junctions or analyzing using TEER.
