Q:

What cell numbers can I transfect when using the 4D-Nucleofector® System?

A:

The 4D-Nucleofector® System offers great flexibility in terms of cell numbers.

Using the 4D-Nucleofector® X Unit it is possible to perform Nucleofection® in 100 µl and 20 µl Format.

The 100 µl Nucleocuvette® Format is suited for high cell numbers up to 2 x 10^7.

The 20 µl Nucleocuvette® Strip Format works with low cell numbers down to 2 x 10^4

As the same Nucleofection® Conditions apply for both formats, you can easily switch between both formats.

The 4D-Nucleofector® LV Unit allows for closed, scalable transfection of larger cell numbers in the range of 1 x 10^7 to 1 x 10^9 cells.

Transfection protocols can be established in smaller scale using the  4D-Nucleofector® X Unit and subsequently transferred to the  4D-Nucleofector® LV Unit without the need for re-optimization.
