A population doubling is the total number of population doublings of a cell type since its initiation in vitro. The number of population doubling is calculated using the following equations:

Cell count at day of passage /Cell count 24 hours after seeding = Multiple of Day 1 Count

ln Multiple of Day 1 Count/ln 2 = Number of Population Doublings
