subcutaneous connective tissue; areola and adipose subcutaneous connective tissue fibroblasts, from the normal areolar and adipose tissue of C3H/An mice. Cell Line also called L-929. Derived from the parent L strain in 1948.
NCTC-109 was developed in 1956 as a protein free medium for L-929 mouse cells. Its unique components include Tween® 80, nucleic acid derivations, additional vitamins, co-enzymes (DPN, CoA, TPN, FAD, UTP, TPP) and reducing agents such as glutathione, ascorbic acid and L-cystine. It is well suited for the growth of hybridoma cell lines.Storage = 2°C to 8°C
