Epithelial, Small Airway, human COPD

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, is a progressive disease that makes it hard to breathe. Chronic bronchitis & emphysema are other names/stages of COPD. COPD can cause coughing that produces large amounts of mucus, wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and other symptoms.

Small airway epithelial cells are isolated from the bronchioles less than 1mm in diameter

Cell Type:
Respiratory Tract Epith.
Tissue Origin:
lung
Species:
human
Cell Characteristics:
Adherent

Recommended Media

Airway cell media are serum-free media that have been optimized for the proliferation of airway cells.
The SAGM BulletKit was specifically developed to provide superior growth for Human Small Airway Epithelial Cells

The medium is designed specifically for culturing small airway epithelial cells in an air-liquid interface system.

The S-ALI™ BulletKit™ contains:
- S-ALI™ Growth Basal Media
- S-ALI™ Differentiation Basal Medium
- S-ALI™SingleQuots™ kit
